Iraq

I hear every day on the news all about the bad things that are happening in Iraq, but I don't hear much discussion on the good that has come from the Iraq war.  You don't hear about the people we help and the people we saved.  Many believe that it was a mistake to even get involved in Iraq now.  I do not believe that this is the case.  I first and foremost am proud that we got involved and think that it was long overdue.  Sadam was a ruthless dictator (proof if you don't believe me) that needed to be removed from power.  Did we go about doing this in the right way?  Well simply put yes we did.  We tried numerous other means throughout the 90's to deal with him and none of this worked. Many out there believe that the president lied about weapons of mass destruction to just start the war.  This is an absurd statement and pisses me off every time I hear it.  It is political suicide to do such a thing.  Every one and there dog knows and would know that if they did such a thing there career would be over and that there party would be severely hurt from such an action.  And besides what about the Liberals that said there were weapons of mass destruction?  John Kerry himself read the CIA reports and said he had no doubt in his mind that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.  hmmmmm now that's a thinker isn't it.  Oh yeah look what the New York times also had to say about this issue of no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
